Key Takeaways
- On November 2026 list prices, Crisp pricing steps up at the 3rd, 5th, 11th and 21st teammate. Moving to Mini, Essentials and Plus adds $45, $50 and $200, then each seat past 20 costs $10.
- Mini, Essentials and Plus give Hugo $5, $25 or $75 of monthly credits, about 90, 450 or 1,350 conversations by Crisp's count.
- As of November 2026, Crisp resets Hugo's allowance on the 4th of the month, and leftover credits don't carry over.
- With Hugo answering 1,000 conversations a month at $0.05 to $0.10 each, an 8-person team on Crisp Essentials pays $120 to $170.
- Helply charges for AI work and keeps users unlimited. At 1,000 monthly conversations, it costs $249 ($212 billed yearly) at about 4 credits each, or $399 ($339 billed yearly) at about 7.
Crisp Pricing at a Glance
Your team of four answers website chat on Crisp Mini for $45 a month. You're hiring a fifth person. A customer has asked for WhatsApp, and Hugo's $5 of AI credits ran out around the 90th automated conversation.
Crisp markets "a flat pricing per workspace," yet each of those three changes can raise what you pay. The fifth seat and WhatsApp both need Essentials at $95, $50 more a month. Hugo either stops answering or runs on Pay-As-You-Go billing.
The step after that, to Plus at the 11th hire, adds $200 on listed prices. A Capterra reviewer wrote in July 2025: "It's too big of a leap from the Essentials plan to the Plus plan."
Crisp's live chat and support plans for November 2026, priced per workspace each month:
| Plan | Monthly price per workspace | Seats included | Extra seats | Customer profiles | Hugo AI credits a month (Crisp's conversation estimate) |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Free | $0 | 2 | Not listed | 100 | None |
| Mini | $45 | 4 | Not listed | 5,000 | $5 (about 90 conversations) |
| Essentials | $95 | 10 | Not listed | 50,000 | $25 (about 450 conversations) |
| Plus | $295 | 20 | $10 each | 200,000 | $75 (about 1,350 conversations) |
Crisp lists one monthly price per plan, in US dollars and before VAT. You can switch to yearly billing in the app, but Crisp publishes no yearly price.
What Each Crisp Plan Includes
Crisp aims each plan at a different kind of company, from solopreneurs on Free to medium-sized businesses on Plus. Between plans, the main changes are seats, channels, Hugo's credits and training limits, branding and integrations.
Crisp Free: $0 for Two Seats
Crisp's Free plan costs $0 and gives you 2 seats, the chat widget, a shared inbox, mobile apps and a contact form. Shopify and WooCommerce integrations come with it. Conversations have no limit, profiles cap at 100, and Hugo credits, AI workflows and advanced automation stay locked.
Crisp Mini: $45 a Month
Crisp Mini costs $45 a month per workspace and includes 4 seats and 5,000 customer profiles. It adds a shared email inbox, chat triggers, shortcuts, private notes, a custom email domain and unlimited data retention.
Hugo starts here with $5 of credits a month and can train on 1 domain and 1 file. Telegram, Messenger and X connect on Mini, while WhatsApp, Instagram and SMS need Essentials. A fifth teammate also means Essentials at $95.
Crisp Essentials: $95 a Month
Crisp Essentials costs $95 a month per workspace for 10 seats and 50,000 customer profiles. It is the first plan with the omnichannel inbox, which connects WhatsApp Business, Instagram direct messages, SMS, Viber and Line.
Essentials also adds the knowledge base, an omnichannel AI chatbot, a visual workflow builder, routing rules, analytics and 2 sub-inboxes. HubSpot, Zapier, Make and n8n integrations first appear on this plan.
Hugo gets $25 of credits and trains on up to 3 domains and 5 files. On listed prices, an 11th teammate means Plus at $295.
Crisp Plus: $295 a Month
Crisp Plus costs $295 a month per workspace and includes 20 seats and 200,000 customer profiles. It is the only plan with a listed price for more seats, at $10 a month each.
Plus adds the customer ticketing portal, white labelling, 5 sub-inboxes, and Stripe and Salesforce integrations. Hugo gets unlimited task automations in third-party tools, $75 of credits, 10 training domains and 100 files. Observability and AI Suggestions, two Hugo tools, are exclusive to Plus.
Crisp Enterprise: Custom Pricing
Enterprise has no public price. Crisp lists dedicated onboarding, a personalized SLA, enhanced rate limits, custom features and team training, and you book a demo for a quote.
How Crisp's Per-Workspace Pricing Works
Crisp bills each workspace one flat monthly price, whatever the conversation count and however many domains it serves. A workspace is the shared inbox your teammates join. The flat price moves at four points: seat limits, channel and branding rules, contact limits and Hugo usage.
Does Crisp Charge Per Seat?
No. Crisp charges per workspace, and each plan includes a fixed number of seats. Free includes 2, Mini 4, Essentials 10 and Plus 20.
Crisp's pricing table lists extra seats only on Plus, at $10 a month each. On listed prices, the 3rd, 5th and 11th teammates each mean a higher plan, and every seat from the 21st adds $10.

The 11th hire costs the most: Essentials at $95 becomes Plus at $295, a $200 jump for one person. "The gap between Plus $295 and Essentials $95 is too big," a G2 reviewer wrote in April 2025.
From Essentials up, Crisp also sells a higher inbox operator limit, room for more teammates, where your setup allows it. Crisp bills it monthly at an unpublished price, so check that price before you move an 11-person team to Plus.
Between steps, small teams split one flat price. A team of four on Mini pays $11.25 a person. In March 2025, a small nonprofit praised "the price-model (compared to competitors that charges per agent from 1st agent)" on Capterra.
Channels, Branding and Contact Limits
Each Crisp workspace connects one account per social channel, such as one WhatsApp number or one Instagram account, with email as the exception. More connections need a paid higher limit. Below a paid Plus plan, your customers see "We run on Crisp" in the chatbox and emails, and it stays during a trial.
Customer profiles cap at 100, 5,000, 50,000 and 200,000 by plan, and Free and Mini must upgrade before buying more. Crisp publishes no price for extra contacts on Essentials or Plus. A Capterra reviewer summed up the effect in June 2025: "Crisp gets quite expensive if you need more than 5k user profiles."
How Much Does Crisp's Hugo AI Cost?
Hugo is Crisp's AI agent, and Mini, Essentials and Plus include a monthly allowance of its credits. Crisp counts those credits in US dollars: $5 for Mini, $25 for Essentials and $75 for Plus. By the plan cards' own counts of around 90, 450 and 1,350 automated conversations, each conversation costs about $0.056.
Real costs vary with the AI model, how much context Hugo reads and how many replies a conversation takes. As of November 2026, Crisp's Hugo billing guide estimates $0.05 to $0.10 a full conversation, and its migration guide says $0.10 to $0.20. Crisp also rates each model's credit use on a three-level scale, with GPT-5.5 and Claude Opus at the highest.
At $0.05 a conversation, the $25 Essentials allowance covers 500 conversations. At $0.20, it covers 125. One G2 reviewer, a customer success manager, put Hugo's cost per resolution in May 2026 at "less than $0.90 per resolved convo."

What Happens When Hugo's Credits Run Out?
By default, Hugo stops replying once the credits are gone, and your team takes new conversations until the reset, currently on the 4th. If Mini's $5 runs out on the 20th, your team answers every new chat for about two weeks. Leftover credits don't carry over to the next cycle.
To keep Hugo running, turn on Pay-As-You-Go and set a billing limit. Crisp publishes no rate for that usage, and a separate setting caps AI spend per conversation.
Crisp offers a 14-day free trial of all features and doesn't ask for a card. Hugo usage during a trial consumes credits, and Pay-As-You-Go may stay unavailable until the trial ends. One Trustpilot reviewer in October 2026 ran out of trial credits and asked to end the trial early to start paying.
What Does Crisp Cost for a Team of 3, 8, 15 or 30?
With Hugo on every conversation, a 3-person team answering 300 conversations on Crisp Mini pays about $55 to $70 a month. A 30-person team answering 4,000 on Plus pays $520 to $720. These bills use listed prices and assume Pay-As-You-Go is on, with each conversation at $0.05 to $0.10, the range in Crisp's billing guide.
| Team | Conversations a month | Crisp plan | Plan and seat cost | Monthly total at $0.05 to $0.10 a conversation (billing guide) | Monthly total at $0.10 to $0.20 a conversation (migration guide) |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| 3 people | 300 | Mini | $45 | $55 to $70 | $70 to $100 |
| 8 people | 1,000 | Essentials | $95 | $120 to $170 | $170 to $270 |
| 15 people | 2,000 | Plus | $295 | $320 to $420 | $420 to $620 |
| 30 people | 4,000 | Plus with 10 extra seats | $395 | $520 to $720 | $720 to $1,120 |

Each total is the plan price plus Hugo usage beyond the plan's included credits. EU consumers may owe VAT, and paid integrations or extra contacts add to the bill.
Crisp Yearly Billing, Discounts and VAT
Crisp lists monthly prices only, before VAT, and lets you switch to yearly billing in the app. It offers rebates to startups, nonprofits and multi-workspace accounts.
Can You Pay for Crisp Yearly?
Yes, after you subscribe you can switch the workspace to yearly billing in the app. Crisp then charges the full year in advance at the next renewal and won't refund a prepaid year. Crisp publishes no yearly discount, and in 2024 it listed yearly prices for Pro and Unlimited at 12 times the monthly ones.
Crisp Discounts for Startups, Nonprofits and Multiple Workspaces
- Startups: 30% off Essentials or Plus for new customers whose company is under 3 years old and has raised less than $1M. Mini doesn't qualify.
- Nonprofits and students: 50% off Essentials or Plus for nonprofits that prove their status, and Crisp offers students 50% too.
- Multiple workspaces: a 20% rebate on each additional Essentials or Plus workspace once a business pays for 3 or more. The main workspace keeps its normal price.
Crisp applies each rebate by hand after you contact its team. The startup and nonprofit programs don't stack with other rebates unless Crisp confirms otherwise.
VAT and Currency
Crisp prices exclude VAT. EU businesses that enter a VAT number pay none, and Crisp charges no VAT outside the EU.
Crisp shows visitors in most of Europe the same numbers with a € sign, and UK visitors see £. Crisp publishes its prices in US dollars.
How Crisp's Pricing Changed Since 2024
Crisp has changed its pricing twice since 2024, so a price you find elsewhere may describe an older ladder.
- Until early November 2024: Pro at $25 a month (4 seats, 5,000 contacts) and Unlimited at $95 (20 seats, 50,000 contacts).
- From early November 2024: Mini at $45, Essentials at $95 with 10 seats, and a new Plus plan at $295.
- From February 2026: included AI credits appear on the plan cards, after Crisp moved AI replies to a paid model with Hugo.

The entry paid plan rose from $25 to $45 a month with the same 4 seats. Crisp's $95 plan kept its price but went from 20 seats as Unlimited to 10 as Essentials. A Mini listed at 45€ is the same $45 plan, since Crisp shows a € sign to most European visitors.
Crisp vs Helply Pricing
Crisp's bill follows headcount, plan features and Hugo usage, while Helply charges for the AI work across your conversations. Helply's plans pair unlimited users and the three AI agents with a monthly block of AI credits.
Helply prices each AI action by complexity. Drafting or summarizing costs 1 credit. Searching one or two connected systems costs 4, and an investigation across several systems costs 12.
The entry block holds 500 credits and costs $49 a month ($42 billed yearly). The largest listed block holds 32,000 credits at $1,549 a month ($1,317 billed yearly). Above that, Helply prices volume through Enterprise.
Helply sizes each conversation at about 4 to 7 credits, so 1,000 monthly conversations fit the 4,000- or 7,000-credit block for any team. Those blocks cost $249 or $399 monthly ($212 or $339 billed yearly). The Crisp bills below use listed prices and assume Hugo answers all 1,000 at $0.05 to $0.10 each, Crisp's billing-guide range.
| Team size (1,000 conversations a month) | Crisp plan | Crisp monthly, Hugo on all 1,000 at $0.05 to $0.10 each | Helply monthly at about 4 credits a conversation | Helply monthly at about 7 credits a conversation |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 5 people | Essentials | $120 to $170 | $249 ($212 billed yearly) | $399 ($339 billed yearly) |
| 12 people | Plus | $295 to $320 | $249 ($212 billed yearly) | $399 ($339 billed yearly) |
| 25 people | Plus with 5 extra seats | $345 to $370 | $249 ($212 billed yearly) | $399 ($339 billed yearly) |
| 40 people | Plus with 20 extra seats | $495 to $520 | $249 ($212 billed yearly) | $399 ($339 billed yearly) |

At 1,000 conversations a month, Crisp costs less than Helply for a team of 5. From 12 to 25 people, Crisp's bill falls between Helply's $249 and $399 figures. At 40 people, Crisp's $495 to $520 sits above both.
Helply's bill rises with volume instead. At 4,000 conversations a month, the matching blocks cost $1,079 or $1,549 ($917 or $1,317 billed yearly). On Crisp's billing-guide estimate, a 30-person team at that volume pays $520 to $720.
On Helply, the credits pay for three agents' work. The Support Agent can investigate, answer and act until it resolves a request, or pass the customer on with context. The Assist Agent drafts replies and runs supported Actions at your team's request, while Background Agents monitor each conversation.
Ticketing, SLAs, workflows, reports and a knowledge base come with Helply too. Your team answers WhatsApp, email, Slack, live chat, Telegram, Microsoft Teams, Discord, phone and SMS from one workspace.
Where Helply Is the Better Fit
Helply fits teams whose headcount will pass Crisp's 10- or 20-seat steps, or who want all three AI agents from the $49 block. Users stay unlimited on that block and every larger one. Helply prices AI work per action from a published table, and credits left at month end stay usable for one more month.
Crisp and Helply pricing terms side by side, November 2026:
| Pricing term | Crisp | Helply |
|---|---|---|
| Base price | $0 to $295 a month per workspace across four plans; Enterprise custom | Credit blocks from $49 to $1,549 a month ($42 to $1,317 billed yearly); Enterprise above 32,000 credits |
| Users | 2 to 20 seats by plan; $10 a month per extra seat on Plus | Unlimited users on every plan |
| AI billing | Hugo credits in US dollars; $0.05 to $0.10 a conversation in Crisp's billing guide, $0.10 to $0.20 in its migration guide | Credits per action (1, 4 or 12 by complexity), about 4 to 7 a conversation |
| Unused AI credits | Currently reset on the 4th of each month; no rollover | Carry one month, then expire; annual plans pool them across the year |
| AI agents | Hugo from Mini; unlimited task automations on Plus | Support Agent, Assist Agent and Background Agents on every plan |
StaffTraveler, a company of 1 to 10 people, couldn't cover every time zone with its own staff. On Helply, the Support Agent covered nights, weekends and every off-hour, and Skills kept answers to common standby scenarios consistent. Helply's Insights Agent delivered daily briefings on what StaffTraveler's million-plus users were asking.
Stay on Crisp or Run Your Queue on Helply?
Stay on Crisp if your team will top out at 10 people on Essentials, the plan your fifth hire and WhatsApp need. On Crisp's billing-guide estimate, Mini at 300 conversations and Essentials at 1,000 both cost less than Helply. To weigh Crisp against other tools at this size, compare AI agents for small businesses by price.
Move your queue to Helply when your next hires would cross Crisp's 10- or 20-seat steps. It also fits when the AI needs to investigate with connected tools such as Stripe, Linear or HubSpot, then take action. On Crisp, Hugo's unlimited task automations and the Stripe integration come with Plus.
Every hire joins at no extra cost, so the 11th teammate adds nothing to your Helply bill while Crisp's listed price jumps $200. On a versioned table, AI work costs 1, 4 or 12 credits an action, and a quiet month's credits fund the next one. Helply charges no credits for retries, failed actions, spam, setup or drafts your team rejects before a customer sees them.
Optional auto top-up buys more credits at your current rate, up to a monthly cap that defaults to your block price. Without top-up, the AI pauses at the cap and your team carries on answering. Notices arrive at 80%, 95% and the cap, and an allowance per team or mailbox keeps one queue from spending the whole block.
Start with one queue, such as WhatsApp, and give that team or mailbox its own allowance. Run an AI support pilot to see the bill before you move the rest. Laurens, StaffTraveler's co-founder and head of support, called Helply "extremely easy to set up, with a great team behind it."
